The Gold Coast City Choir has members of all ages and performs a wide repertoire of choral music from the great classics to pops.

   The choir, founded in 1969, presents three major choral performances each year at, Easter, mid-year, and Christmas. In addition it performs regularly at civic, corporate, charitable and religious events.

   Members attend free workshops throughout the year enjoying professional vocal tuition including sight-reading, vocal technique, voice production and vocal health.

   The Gold Coast City Choir is the premier choir in the region performing a wide repertoire of much-loved choral classics, including famous opera choruses, and popular music by contemporary composers. The choir has recorded Christmas carols and is particularly proud of its CD “Heritage Songs of Queensland”. These CDs have been great successes both financially and artistically.

     New choir members are welcomed into a friendly environment where the great joy of singing can be experienced and many new friendships forged.

Anyone who is interested in community choral singing can contact Ruth Gurner the Musical Director 0421 338 110 to arrange for an audition. You are also invited  to come to a rehearsal to listen, meet the Director of Music and have a sing before applying to join.

Rehearsals are held each Tuesday evening, 6.30pm – 9:30 pm at the Church of Good Shepherd Tarrant Rd. Mudgeeraba. Members say that every rehearsal is a first rate singing lesson !

Our members are our greatest asset. A tremendous feeling of goodwill exists in the choir and members enjoy a number of social activities throughout the year.
